Plumbing service terms
Service Terms & Consumer Rights
General terms that apply to enquiries and plumbing work, subject to project-specific contracts and mandatory law.
Last updated: 2026-07-06
These are general service terms. A quote, work order or statutory home building contract may contain additional or different terms for a particular job. Where there is an inconsistency, the project-specific written agreement applies to that job, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Service provider
Services are supplied by Plumbing Dynamix Pty Ltd (ABN 30 660 603 010, NSW Contractor Licence 391734C) under the brand Northern Beaches Plumbing.
2. Enquiries and bookings
WhatsApp, phone and email enquiries are requests for assistance only. A booking is confirmed when we expressly accept the attendance time or work. Emergency attendance and response times are subject to technician availability, travel conditions, access and safety.
3. Scope, inspection and diagnosis
We perform the work described in the accepted quote, work order or other agreed scope. Photos, videos and customer descriptions are useful for initial context but may not reveal the full cause, condition or extent of a fault. Additional investigation may be needed.
4. Quotes and estimates
A quote is based on the information and site conditions reasonably available when it is prepared. An estimate is an indication only. Unless expressly stated otherwise, work outside the agreed scope, hidden defects, inaccessible services, hazardous materials, incorrect plans, undisclosed conditions, after-hours requirements or third-party requirements may result in a revised scope or additional charges, which we will communicate as appropriate before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
5. Prices, GST and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars. GST treatment and payment due dates are as shown on the quote or invoice. Any call-out, diagnostic or cancellation fee will only apply where it has been disclosed or otherwise lawfully agreed. Overdue amounts may be handled in accordance with the invoice, written agreement and applicable law.
6. Deposits and residential building work
Where NSW home building law applies, deposits, contracts, progress payments, consumer information and insurance requirements will be handled in accordance with that law. For residential building work where a written contract is legally required, we will use the required form of contract and provide required consumer information. A website enquiry or these general terms do not replace a statutory contract.
Current NSW guidance generally requires a written contract for residential building work where the contract price, or reasonable market cost of labour and materials, exceeds $5,000. Different requirements apply to small and large jobs, and home building compensation cover may be required for certain work over $20,000. These thresholds and requirements are subject to law and should be checked for the specific project.

7. Variations
If the requested work or site conditions change, a variation may be needed. Where the law or project contract requires a variation to be in writing and signed, that process will apply. We may pause affected work until the variation, price and timing are agreed.
8. Access and customer responsibilities
You must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area and disclose known hazards, asbestos concerns, access restrictions, relevant building rules, known service locations and other information that may affect the work. You are responsible for obtaining owner, strata, landlord or other authority to request the work unless we agree otherwise in writing.
9. Safety and urgent conditions
We may stop, postpone or refuse work where conditions are unsafe, unlawful, inaccessible, outside our licence scope or require another specialist. In an immediate threat to life, fire or serious danger, call 000. For suspected gas danger, move to safety and contact the appropriate emergency service or gas distributor.
10. Materials and customer-supplied products
Materials supplied by us will be reasonably suitable for the agreed work, subject to availability and manufacturer specifications. Where a customer asks us to install a product supplied by the customer, responsibility for product defects, compatibility, missing parts or manufacturer warranty remains subject to law and the circumstances of the job.
11. Delays and events outside reasonable control
Timing can be affected by emergencies, weather, traffic, access, approvals, parts availability, supplier delays, unsafe conditions and other events outside reasonable control. We will communicate material delays as reasonably practicable.
12. Completion, defects and consumer rights
Tell us promptly if you believe there is a problem with our work and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect where appropriate. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits statutory warranties, consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Under the Australian Consumer Law, services supplied to consumers come with automatic guarantees, including that services be provided with due care and skill.
13. Cancellations and rescheduling
Please notify us as soon as possible if access is unavailable or a booking must change. Any cancellation or wasted-attendance fee will only apply where it was disclosed or otherwise lawfully agreed. Different cancellation rights may apply under a statutory contract or consumer law.
14. Complaints and disputes
Please use our Complaints & Dispute Resolution process first so we have an opportunity to understand and resolve the issue. This does not prevent either party from using rights or remedies available under law.
